Under the direction of Pascale Van Os, the Virago Symphonic Orchestra presents a vibrant spectrum of undiscovered gems and innovative works by talented women composers from Belgium, the United States, and Germany.
Be swept away by the beautiful piano artistry of our two soloists: Stephanie Proot and Donna Weng Friedman. As a special highlight, you will experience a unique work featuring a narrator who brings to life the many-layered thoughts, doubts, and unexpected insights so many of us encountered during the COVID period. At times moving, at times sharp, at times disarmingly familiar — always captivating.
This concert not only celebrates the power of women in music, but also our shared resilience. An afternoon filled with emotion, energy, and discovery — one that will resonate long after the final notes fade.
